Here”s the second video documenting Bill”’’s and mine experiment showing you how to drive website traffic with social media and social networking.

Basically, in the above video… I show you how I was able to get first page search results in Google for my keyword phase.

The steps took to achieve this… I sign up for all the social networking websites listed on http://www.gallanroberts.com. Then I created a video and tagged it with my keyword phase. Then I syndicated the video (used automated software) and also backlinked my blog with the video on it.

Now Bill got 42,000 views and I got 66… big difference…

So, I have to change a few things… I think Bill has an adsense network system that I do not have after all he made 3.5 million last year… I did not ping my RSS at first… I need to build more friends and membership on my social networking sites (I have automated system for that too).

If you are think about starting an online business or if you already have one… The most important thing to the life of your business is traffic or visitors to your website. Since December of 2000 I have tried unsuccessfully to find a consistent way to drive traffic to my web sites. There are hundreds of options but most of them are one time shots in the arm and then the effect diminishes over time ie. ezine ads, PPC, banner ads, backlinks, article marketing, Craig”s list, classified, direct mail.
But, I believe social media is the key to growing your online business. With social media your traffic in increases over time as more and more people share information about you.
Also, most of the traffic online today is on social media website like MySpace, YouTube, Facebook, etc and if I have learn nothing from my business experience is you go where the business is.

For example you would not set-up a lemonade stand in the middle of the dessert where no one was there to buy. You want set up your lemonade stand next to busy street with lots of customers right.

Last week Bill McIntosh sent me an email which directed me to his new YouTube video. In the video he explained that he had been challenged to start from scratch and drive huge amount of website traffic to a new site www.socialdominator.com .

Now I ordinarily would not care… But Bill McIntosh made over $3.5 million dollars with AdSense in 2006 -2007. If you know anything about AdSense you need a HUGE amount of traffic to pull of that kind of money. I figure he must know how to drive traffic or visitors to websites.

I have never been able to drive traffic to my websites and I have been online for over 8 years now. So, what I am doing is being the control in the experiment. In order for any experiment to be valid it needs a control. I am reverse engineering what Bill is doing with his site and cloneing his effort to the best of my knowledge.

I will be doing step-by-step videos as I go along… BUT the only way you can get access to these videos is by subscribing to my email list (See that opt-in box in the side bar =>>)

Go ahead and leave me your name and email… I””ll sent you links to my video updates as I go along. (Note: I am not expert just an average guy trying to figure out this whole process for myself)

So, here”’’s what I have figured out so far…

1. First thing I did was setup a wordpress.org blog on my own hosting account. This is pretty simple to do and it”’’s free. (I noticed that Bill set-up a shadow blog on the wordpress.com (socialdominator.wordpress.com) which was listed in Google under wordpress featured blogs keyword (networking).

2. Second thing is I set up a Aweber account to capture a run my autoresponders

3. Then create a video just like bill”’’s and posted it to YouTube. (sorry Bill but this is an experiment and the control should be very close to the original)

To create the video I used Camtasia Studio video software and exported the video as a FLV. file. (note: software cost $300 - there are cheaper methods)

I also noticed that Bill had his video on other video hosting sites as well. So, I did the same.

4. The next thing I did is I signed up for all the social networking sites you see down the side bar of the blog. This took a whole day of my time and I am still adding more as I go. (note: it is important that you know what your targeted keywords and tags are before hand.)

For full list of Social networking sites with high PR ranks you should join www.mybloglog.com account. This will give you a very good list. This is awesome tool that I have never seen before starting this experiment. Use it 

5. Now, I am working on building backlinks to my blog and creating new information for the blog and video sites. I know of some automation tools which I will reveal to my subscribers and I am writing some articles to submit to the article directories.
I am also going to send out PR Releases this week.

That just about does it… I am going to do some more diggs into this and figure out how Bill pulls it off… Remember to join my email list for the videos and secret automation tools I know about.

Ok, so here we go!

This is a grand experiment to see just how fast I can get a site ranking, profitable and with loads of traffic. I”ve been challenged to make a high traffic profitable site within days. I’ll keep you updated on all the results I get and fill you in on anything I find a success or a failure (so you don’t repeat my mistakes).

I”m going to heavily rely upon Social Networking, Blogs and Social Bookmarking websites. These along with some really neat automated scripts, software and tools. Keep in mind this is going to be pretty much normal SEO work and I’m not going to dive into my blackhat bag of tricks to get this accomplished. I’ll be using some automated social bookmarking software tools, but not in a way that generates spam. You’ll have to subscribe to see it all in action and find out what I’m talking about.

When it’s all over I”ll also share with you all the techniques I used and any software or tools that helped me along with way.

It”s Saturday afternoon at around 3:15 PM and I’ve got take family out for some fun is Memorial Day weekend. So I”m not sure if I”ll get much work done this weekend or not. If I don”t work on the site I”ll start the official “countdown” on Monday the 26th.

I”m really crossing my fingers and toes on this one. I”m pretty confident I can pull it off (I’ve NOT done this before).
